WHAT WE RAN INTO
The addition sat over an old, undocumented septic tank that no longer served the house. It was pumped, collapsed and backfilled under permit before the footings were dug, and the design shifted three feet to stay clear of it.
THE RESULT
The main living space nearly doubled, and the new roofline reads as if it was always part of the house.
